Between friends that moved, out-of-town audience members that wandered in on a lark, and regional puppet super-fans, we’ve gotten a lot of requests to take the show on the road. So this summer, that’s what we’re doing.
In July, Puppeteers for Fears will be restaging our production of Cthulhu: the Musical! and performing it in Portland and Seattle.
We’ll be at The Shoebox Theater in Portland Friday, July 15, and Saturday, July 16, and at 18th and Union in Seattle on Friday, July 22, Saturday, July 23, and Monday, July 24. Tickets for the PDX show are available here, and for the Seattle show here.
The production will feature the full house band, and most of the original cast, in the same roles that made the show a breakout hit that sold out six weekends in a row in Ashland.
We can’t overstate how excited we are to be bringing this show to the greater NW, and to make the leap from being a local to a regional company, and we can’t think of a better show to take on the road than Cthulhu: the Musical! It’s strange, and funny, and dramatic, and rocking, and it ends with a giant singalong. And its an anarchic adaptation of a much-loved story on top of that.
If you saw the show and have friends or family in Portland and Seattle, be sure to let them know about the performances so they don’t miss the fun. And if you’re in either of those cities––whether you’ve seen us before or not––come down and check out the show. We can’t wait to share this show with you and hopefully make some new friends in the process.
See ya soon!
